Criteria for Inclusion in the Directory
Inclusion
The Directory includes self-help and mutual support. Also included are organizations and agencies that help initiate, support and promote self-help and peer support activities. The information in the Directory is for information and referral purposes only. Inclusion in the Directory does not signify endorsement.
Exclusion
The Directory excludes groups whose purpose is primarily political advocacy and/or lobbying for their specific cause and groups providing self-help for personal profit and gain. The Directory also excludes any groups which engage in or promote discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexuality or economic situation. The information provided is based upon data provided by the group themselves. The Alliance Empowerment Coalition reserves the right to include or exclude any groups.
Omission
Omission of an organization does not signify lack of endorsement nor does inclusion signify endorsement.
